| The Integration of Shang Han Lun was written by Japanese writer Shan Tian Zheng Zhen and made up of ten volumes.The Integration of Shang Han Lun is a variorum treatise to annotate Shang Han Lun,which has high academic value.In older to reveal its scholastic value,eight items were studied,such as author's life story,works written by Shan Tian Zheng Zhen,the editions of The Integration of Shang Han Lun,the methods and content of annotation,scholastic attainments and the influence to generations etc.Shan Tian Zheng Zhen was born in 1748 in a medical family,and died circa1787.Shan Tian Zheng Zhen had solid writing skills and rigorous research attitude.Both Shan Tian's annotation and proofreading were outstanding.There were following characteristics in his annotation: Collecting various advantages comments;Citing classic works to look for the roots;Widely citing Confucian classics and history works to explain the word;Discriminating words with phonology;Distinguishing the differences between different prescriptions;Appending questions and answers between teachers and students to solve doubts.Shan Tian Zheng Zhen collected several versions and collated detailedly during the collation,which provides high valued reference for the later scholars to study Shang Han Lun.In the academic aspect,Shan Tian Zheng Zhen distinguished the authenticity of Shang Han Lun;Denied "Feng shang Wei,Han Shang ying";Denied Shang Han Lun's Sanyin Sanyang was same as Su Wen's;Advocated the article of Jueyin disease was lost;Advocated Jianning was mistaken for Jianan.The Integration of Shang Han Lun was spread widely afterpublication,which brought a huge influence to the Chinese and Japanese doctors' study in Shang Han Lun.At the same time,due to the limitations of the era,The Integration of Shang Han Lun had many shortcomings,such as denying Ephedra's sweating effect,taking Shanghan and pestilence as one disease.However summing up its experience and lessons,which will be inspiring for us to study Shang Han Lun. |
