ObjectiveTo understand the current condition of sensory integration dysfunction(SID)and behavior problem among school-age children and their contributing factors; To explore the relationship between sensory integration dysfunction and children's behavior problem; To provide scientific basis for the prevention and intervention of children sensory integration ability.MethodsSchool-age children, aged 7~12 years,in urban, suburb and country in Jinzhou were selected using stratified cluster random sampling;Using the children sensory development check table,Rutter behavior related problem check table and questionnaire to make assessment and investigation. The meaning of the questionnaire, purpose, content, requirement and the filling way were explained by the school health care doctors to the parents during the parents' meetings, these scales were recycled on the spot.Data was analyzed by SPSS21.0.Results1?The whole incidence of Sensory Integration dysfunction was 22.6% in school children of Jin Zhou District.Mild SID 15.8%,serious SID 6.8%.The male of SID was 27.9%,the female of SID was 17.6%.The difference of the SID incidence related problems between boys and girls was statistically significant.(P<0.05).2?The rate of sensory vestibular disorder among the four types of sensoryintegration was 7.0%(mild SID 5.2%,serious SID 1.8%)Tactile defense disorder rate was 4.4%(mild SID 3.0%,serious SID 1.4%)Proprioception disorder rate was 6.2%(mild SID 4.5 %,serious SID 1.7 %);Deficiency of learning development ability was less than 5.0%(mild SID 3.2%,serious SID 1.8%).3?Unconditional Logistic regression analysis,Sex is male, the one-child,living in urban areas, high expectations of the parents, contradictory family atmosphere are risk factors for children sensory disorder;Prenatal education in the period of pregnancy, high degree education of the primary caregivers, usual parent-child outdoor activities and communicating more with children are protective factors of children sensory integrative dysfunction.4?The rate of behavior related problems aged 7 to 12 years old among872 school children was 20.1%;25.1% for boys and 15.4% for girls. The difference of children behavior related problems incidence between boys and girls was statistically significant(P<0.05).5? Among the children with behavior related problems, the rate of sensory integration dysfunction was 77.8%.Among the children without behavior related problems, the rate was 8.7 %.Difference between Children with behavior problems and no behavior problems of sensory disorder rate was statistically significant(P<0.01)6?Children who have behavior problems, the incidence of type A behavior was 8.8%,N type behavior incidence was 8.7%,M type behavior was 2.5%.Children feel disorder incidence rate of various types of behavior problem was significantly higher than no behavior problems(P<0.01).Conclusions1?It is necessary to pay the universal attentions by parents, schools and society on sensory integration dysfunction among school children.2 ? Children's gender is male, the one-child,living in urban areas, high expectations of the parents, usual contradictory family atmosphere could increase the risk of the sensory integration dysfunction.Prenatal education in the period of pregnancy, high degree education of the primary caregivers,usualparent-child outdoor activities and communicating more with children could prevent and reduce the incidence sensory integration dysfunction of school children.3?Children's sensory integration ability was closely correlated with behavior problem.Spread the knowledge of the sensory integration dysfunction can help to decrease the behavior problem of children.
