The Clinical Observation On Treatment Of The Neck And Shoulder Myofascial Syndrome By Catgut Implantation At Acupoint

Objective:Myofascitis was known as Myofascial pain syndrome(MPS)or Fibrositis.The pathogenesis of myofascitis is a series of clinical symptoms that muscle fascia and muscle tissue edema,exudation and fibrous.The clinical characteristic of myofascitis is the pain,stiff,dull,heaviness of musclar tissue.It often attack repeatedly.If the myofascitis take place Neck and shoulder,we call it the neck and shoulder myofascial syndrome.This disease is common seen by old men,but recently it hasClearly shown a trend of getting younger.Now,the treatment of traditional Chinese medicine is widely,including traditional Chinese medicine,manipulation,acupuncture and moxibustion,cupping,emplastrum,small needle knife therapy and so on.The acupuncture and moxibustion therapy is use more.The treatment of western medicine including rehabilitation therapy,medicine and combined treatment.The catgut implantation at acupoint is one of methods of acupuncture and moxibustion and can strength the body resistance to elimi-nate pathogenic factors through the meridians adjustment.It has the effect of acupuncture,pricking blood and constant stimulation.This method conforms to the"neijing"principle of Long-term stimulation treating intractable diseases.The catgut implantation at acupoint can stimulate the acupoint by producing biological and chemistry effect.Compared with general filiform needle,this method has the advantage of fewer treatment,long-term stimulation,consolidate curative effect and so on.Now the relevant clinical observation on treatment of the neck and shoulder myofascial syndrome by catgut implantation at acupoint is less,whether the catgut implantation at acupoint and electric acupuncture treat this disease is different.In order to solve this problem and provide a better method to treat,the main purpose of this study is to observe the clinical effect of catgut implantation at acupoint to treat neck and shoulder myofascial syndrome by randomized controlled trialMethods:The experimental study was conducted in the traditional Chinese medicine hospital of Guangdong province,the first affiliated hospital of Guangzhou university of TCM and recruiting volunteers from 2015 November to 2016 Oct..60 patients with the neck and shoulder myofascial syndrome were divided into two groups,including 30 cases of treatment group and 30 cases of control group.The treatment group is used the catgut implantation at acupoint,the control group is used electric acupuncture.The treatment group was be carried on once every week,the control group was be carried on once every day.The result value and analysis will be carried on after two weeks,including the score of VAS,Symptoms and syndromes and clinical effect.Results:1.Before the treatment,there were no statistical difference(P>0.05)found in gender,age,Course of the disease.The two groups were comparable.2.Before the treatment,there were no statistical difference(P>0.05)found in the score of VAS and Symptoms and syndromes.This shows The two groups were comparable.After the treatment,there are statistical significance(P<0.05)found in comparing pre-treatment.3.Comparing with the two groups about post-treatment,there are statistical significance(P<0.05)found in the score of VAS,the treatment of once week and the second week.This shows the effect of the catgut implantation at acupoint is better than electric acupuncture in analgesia.The effect of once week is better than the second week about two group.4.After the treatment,the difference that Symptoms and syndromes(P<0.05).The data shows the catgut implantation at acupoint is better than electric acupuncture.5.Comparing with the clinical effect on the two group had statistical different significance(P<0.05).The data shows the clinical effect of the catgut implantation at acupoint is better than electric acupuncture.Conclusion:The study was based on scientific,objective and rigorous clinical data to evaluate the clinical effect of catgut implantation at acupoint and electric acupuncture to treat the neck and shoulder myofascial syndrome.The research results is high reliability and show the two therapies having curative effect,but the former one is better,which is worth applying on clinic.
