Onstruction Of ICU Nursing Quality Evaluation Index System Based On High Performance Evaluation Criterion

ObjectiveTo construct a quality evaluation system for ICU using theperformance excellence model as the conceptual framework.Through the construction of the system to enhance the scientific and standard level of quality nursing management in ICU,and to promote the continuous improvement of the quality of ICU nursing services.MethodsBased on literature review and the "Guidelines for the Criteria of Performance Excellence",expertspreliminary identified ICU nursing quality evaluation index framework.And then two rounds of Delphi expert consultation were done.After two rounds of expert consultation,the weight of indicator was calculated.ResultsPerformance excellence model has been applied to nursing quality assessment.The theoretical framework of ICU nursing quality evaluation system has been constructed,which includes organizational leadership,organizational strategy and patient needs,resource allocation,process management and result.Finally an ICU nursing quality evaluation system consisting 6 class-I indicators,30 class-II indicators,91 class-III indicators has been established.Conclusion1.The study has successfully applied the performance excellence model into China's ICU nursing quality evaluation.2.The study has emphasized the core orientation of centered on patients in ICU nursing quality evaluation system.3.The coverage of ICU nursing quality evaluation system has been broader under the new theoretical framework.4.Method of the study was scientific and reasonable,and the results were reliable.
