Objective:To investigate the present situation of self-management behavior in readmission patients with coronary heart disease after PCI and to analyze its influencing factors, and thereby providing certain reference for formulating clinical intervention measures to reduce the frequency of readmission of patients with coronary heart disease after PCI surgery. Methods:A total of 297 patients with coronary heart disease after PCI, who were hospitalized in cardiology wards and CCUs of Xuzhou Central Hospital between January 2016 and April 2016 and met inclusion criteria, were selected using a convenient sampling method. A questionnaire investigation was carried out with self-designed general information survey form and the improved Coronary Heart Disease Self-management Scale. EpiDate3.1 was applied to establish database and input data. After data verification, data were transmitted to SPSS 17.0 software package for statistical analysis. Comparison between different groups adopted f-test/ANOVA and multiple-factor analysis was carried out by means of multiple linear regression. Results:The total coronary heart disease self-management score of the 297 patients after PCI was 84.31±11.50, and scoring indexes accounted for 62.45%, presenting a moderate level. The three dimensions of scoring indexes in the ascending order were in turn:mood management (56.30%), medical management of diseases (58.23%) and daily life management (73.48%). Multiple linear regression analysis demonstrated that in the 18 factors, five factors including age, degree of education, total cholesterol levels, length of duration from after the first PCI to readmission and hospitalization frequency after the first PCI showed statistical significance (P<0.05). Among them, age, total cholesterol and hospitalization frequency after the first PCI were negatively correlated with the total score, suggesting that patients with an older age, a higher total cholesterol level and a higher hospitalization frequency after PCI had a lower self-management score. Patients with a high degree of education and long duration but low hospitalization frequency after the first PCI presented higher self-management scores. Conclusion:The total level of self-management behavior in readmission patients with coronary heart disease after PCI is at a moderate level. Major influencing factors and related factors including age, degree of education, total cholesterol, length of duration from after the first PCI to readmission, and hospitalization frequency after the first PCI. Self-management behavior directly or indirectly affect the frequency of readmission; therefore, clinical nurses should help patients to analyze the situation of self-management behavior after PCI, as well as apply individualized health education and intervention methods for patients at a substandard level of self-management behavior, so as to improve self-management ability and the quality of survival of patients after PCI and reduce the frequency of readmission.
