Objective:To implement and study the effects of individualized rehabilitation guidance on patients with cervical spondylosis and lumbar disc herniation(LDH).Methods: 60 patients with cervical spondylosis or LDH,aging from 30 to 50,were randomly assigned into a control and a trial group. Conventional rehabilitation treatment was given in each group. In addition, the trial group was given individuallized rehabilitation assessment and guidance.Visual analogue scale, JOA score and SF-36 were used to evaluate before and after the start of treatment every one week. Results: 60 patients in Shanghai First People's Hospital Rehabilitation Department and Rehabilitation Center were all reported, consisting of 39 men and 51 women. Mean age was 39.37(±6.40)years. Before the experiment, there was no significant difference in VAS,JOA and SF-36 scores between two groups(P>0.05). After one week, the VAS score in control group was 5.20±1.10, which in individualized group was 4.43±1.20(P<0.05). At the meantime, the JOA score in individualized group was 17.47±2.45,which was also a better result compared to the control group(16.00±2.32)(P<0.05). At the end of two weeks' therapy, the scores of SF-36 in two groups were 114.37±14.30 and 123.03±13.10 respectively(P<0.05). At the same time,The VAS scores in two groups were 4.13±1.28 and 2.73±1.26 and the JOA scores were 17.20±2.40 and 19.40±3.36 respectively, which differed a lot between groups(P<0.01)? According to repeated measures of different times within and between groups,we saw an increase in JOA and SF-36 scores as well as a decline of VAS level in both groups as the time went by. The individualized group achieved a better result compared to the control group. Conclusion: Patients with cervical spondylosis and lumbar disc herniation may benefit a lot from individualized rehabilitation guidance, which may also lead to a better outcome and higher quality of life.
