Object: To evaluate the clinical curative effect of soothing liver and strengthening spleen method in the treatment of functional dyspepsia.Methods: Collecting the Literature studies of clinical randomized controlled trials of the soothing liver and strengthening spleen method of traditional Chinese medicine and Western medicine in the treatment of functional dyspepsia which published in China during December 2015- May 2006,through computer and manual retrieval.Then screened then in accordance with the inclusion, exclusion criteria until selectted the documents to meet the requirements.The literature quality was evaluated by the Cochrane collaboration net system evaluation manual, and the Meta analysis was carried out.Results: This study selected 25 into standard documents, included in the study sample size of 2391 cases, including 1239 people in the trial group and control group of 1152 people. The Meta analysis results: the total curative effect evaluation of the RR value = 1.23, 95% CI(1.17, 1.30), RR hypothesis test Z = 7.57, P < 0.00001, suggesting that soothing liver and strengthening spleen method of traditional Chinese medicine in the treatment of functional dyspepsia curative effect is superior to western medicine; Safety analysis, Chinese traditional medicine in the treatment of FD adverse drug reactions occur at a rate of 3.2%, the western medicine group was 15.6%, OR combination of hypothesis test, Z = 3.37(P = 0.0008), the Chinese traditional medicine than western medicine group in the treatment of FD in the process of security is better; Recurrence analysis, the treatment group recurrence rate was 13.3%, control group recurrence rate was 31.7%, OR combination of hypothesis test, Z = 4.93(P < 0.00001), the Chinese medicine treatment of FD set of recurrence rates are lower than those of western medicine group.Conclusion: Soothing liver and strengthening spleen method of traditional Chinese medicine in the treatment and safety of functional dyspepsia is superior to western medicine efficacy, the recurrence rate is lower than western medicine group. Due to the search is not entirely into the literature, and lower in the quality of literature evaluation, the results can be reference is still questionable, there are still some limitations of this study.
