With living standard improvement, the residents have increasing personalization and diversity demands on health care. The government investment in health care industry has decreased year by year, they encourage private capital and foreign investment to entry and become the supplement of domestic medical market. VITUP international hospital (VITUP) is established when forseen the prospect to this market, however, in order to survive and developing in the fierce market competition, it has to find the suitable strategies to break the monopoly of traditional public hospital.This essay discuss market prospect of high-end private hospital which VITUP stands for, through the analysis of foreign medical developmental situation, domestic healthcare context, the characteristics of domestic public hospitals, and the private medical institutions. Furthermore, the author analyzes macro environment, establish the competition model of factors which influencing VITUP in medical industry environment, and analyzes the advantages and disadvantages, as well as the external environment opportunities and threats of VITUP through SWOT analysis. The author elaborated VITUP must intake the differentiation competitive strategy and differentiation strategy connotation. In the process of planning differentiation competitive strategy implementation, VITUP will develop a diverse professional medical orientation which different from the large public hospital, align it to fulfill the demands from all level's clients, and establish cooperation and community among the local hospitals, well-known domestic hospitals and top international professional teams. The product design is also unique, VITUP will provide products highly associated to its hardware, services and experiences. With national policy benefits, VITUP cooperates with high technical, and implement more effective human resource strategies. The differentiated brand marketing methods, corporate hospital culture, rigorous and efficient information system will be able to guarantee the achievement to the strategic target.This essay provides strategic support and valuable reference to the domestic and private medical institutions on establishment and development. It helps enterprises to aquire sustainable competitive advantage, and promotes the complement of public hospital and private hospital in the diversified pattern of medical and health care in China.
