The Investigation And Analysis For The Competitive Ability Of The Private Hospitals In Chengdu

The situation of public hospitals controlling the medical field has been changing gradually with the deep reform of medical care and health systems. Private and foreign hospitals are developing rapidly, and that "Three Sharing the Market" appears in the medical field. The successfully convening of No. 16 the Party's Congress and the opening of medical care and insurance markets after entering WTO offers the important policy security and practical environment for the capitalism both at home and abroad. Private hospital has its historical chance to develop.Compared with public hospitals having years of experience and foreign hospitals having strong strength, private hospital faces many kinds of difficulties. They will stand up to more serious tests with the gradual completion of public hospital transformation and the rapid entering of foreign hospital. So to study the situation of private hospital in which they will live and develop, analyze the factors which influence their competition and research the tendency of its development have been a new important problem. Because of those above, in this thesis, I have proposed the suggestion and way of improving the competitive ability of the private hospitals in Chengdu under my further investigation and study.This thesis contains five parts: The first is foreword. It introduces the background, the aim and the significance for the study and private hospital is defined. The second is that the theoretical introduction for hospital management andthe development state of private hospital. The theoretical analysis provides the investigation and analysis with theories and the introduction of its background, and state providing the study with practical basis. The third is the investigation for the competitive ability of the private hospitals in Chengdu. It mainly shows the investigation design and practical process for nine private hospitals in Chengdu. The fourth is the result analysis. It is considered that most of the private hospitals' competitive ability are in the general period and some of theirs are the key period when the ability is farming, which is not good. The fifth is that the factor analysis which influences the ability and the way suggested. In this thesis, the inner and outer factor which influences the ability is studied according to the investigaton, and the factors that the inner management system is fettered, the leading of the outer policies and the prejudice in the socity to limit the rapid development of private hospitals in Chengdu are offered, and meanwhile the suggestion of improving their ability.The immediate significance is : 1, The state of its living and development are made clear, the level of competitive ability is analysed and the ways of training the ability are suggested,as is good for the total improvement of the private hospitals in Chengdu. 2, Its position and function in medical care and health service market are researched, which can supply basic information for the related department which will make some policies for private hospitals, and give some references for the reasonable health design in some area. 3, The fact is tested that the private way will be the last way to publc hospital.The public hospitals being reformed are watching the state of the living and development of private hospital,which will be likely to influence its choice to a certain extent. So in this thesis,some experiences and lessons may be made reference for public hospital reform. 4, This kind of research will make a certain reference for nongovernmental capitalism which is to come into the medical care service market.
