Extraction And Translation Of Traditional Architectural Elements In Wuyi Mountain Area

With the deepening of globalization,the sharing and exchange of information has become more frequent,leading to a growing convergence of culture and a blanking of architectural regionalism between different countries and regions.People lose the sense of belonging to local places gradually and the heritage of local architectrural culture has been interrupted or even passed off.In this context,the study of architecture regionalism has become a hotspot in recent decades.This paper begins with the study of various elements which impact the regionalism of Wuyi Mountain.Through the study of traditional architecture remains in Wuyi Mountain,it summarize the regional characteristics in settlement space patterns,architectural space layout,materials and other details and the way of construction.Meanwhile,it analyze contemporary regional architecture which has been built in Wuyi Mountain in terms of layout,space,materials and constructions,etc.Carding the relationship of heritage and development between contemporary regional architecture and traditional architecture.By contrast the two type of architecture,it summarized a creative approach which adapted the natural condition and social development level of Wuyi Mountain well.Translating the geographical features of the various aspects of the traditional architecture with modern architectural vocabulary and techniques,in order to provide a reference for the current and future modem architectural creation.This paper is divided into three parts,the first part is the first chapter.It is the introduction of the background to the topic,the study object,the study purpose,etc,as well as the summary of regional architectural theory separately from domestic and overseas.Finally,it gives a brief introduction of the research methods and research framework.The second part has totally four chapers,namely from the second to the fifth chapter.The second chapter is a study of local natural and cultural environment in Wuyi Mountain.It cuts into from natural factors,historical and cultural factors,social factors,trying to sort out the underlying factors of how Wuyi Mountain traditional architecture generates.The third chapter is the extraction of traditional architectural elements of Wuyi Mountain.The study of settlement patterns,architectural space layout,construction details,building construction methods contributes to extract the strategies that how it responds to natural climate,adapts to Humanities and Social Social in traditional architecture.It helps us to find out regional materialized expression in architecture.The fourth chapter is a study of the buildings that has been built in Wuyi Mountain with local characteristics in recent years.It select the WuYiShanZhuang,JiuQuHuaJie,Wuyishan Tea Museum,Wuyishan Bamboo Raft Factory for example and it is a summary of achievement by older architects.The fifth chapter is a induction and extraction of regional architectural design methods.On the basis of comparing the relationship of heritage and development between old and new architectures,it explored a contemporary regional architectural methods which adapt the natural climate conditions,the level of economic development in Wuyi Mountain from the four areas that is overall layout,spatial form,materials technology,the form of symbolic.The third part is the conclusion.It is a reflection to the confusion encountered in the process of writing that protection of Wuyi Mountain traditional architecture and design of contemporary regional architecture.It explore how to pass the soul of traditional architecture on in the constant changes of the physical world.Meanwhile it summarized the text,prospect the design of Wuyi Mountain regional architecture.
