The Study Of Conservation And Renewal Of Traditional Regional Architecture In The South Of Taihang Mountain

Our country has a long history and a vast of territory. With profound architectural tradition and abundant architectural culture, its traditional regional architecture presents diverse of characters. With the rapid development of the economy, people have a higher request to the quality of survival. However, during the activities of construction, people tend to misunderstand the function and the value of the traditional regional architecture, and pay little attention to its exploration. Since the relative theory and the practical research of the traditional regional architecture’s protection, exploitation, update and employ haven’t been established timely and thoroughly, in addition emphasizing the ratio of urbanization unilaterally, our country nowadays’ new rural construction model become very singleness, especially lacking of the integrity theory system of the protection and update of the traditional regional architecture and traditional rural, which causes the direct consequence-“thousand cities at the same time, thousand villages a scenery”.The Party Central Committee and Government at all levels has issued a number of laws, regulations and policies successively, which point us the direction of research and development, to promote the construction of Socialist countryside scientifically and to facilitate the protection and update of some history valuable traditional regional architectures practically. The relevant research findings and experiences of construction, which was enriched progressively, also make us have blueprint which is realistic and available for reference for the work of protecting and updating the traditional regional architectures.The type of traditional regional architectures is ample, and presents diversified characters. The differences of time and space make traditional regional architectures suffer the restriction of history, culture, environment, climate and some other conditions, which make it has different kind of model, construction techniques and expression characters. Therefore, research on conservation and renewal of traditional regional architecture should be based on the specific time and space. This task selects this particular area in the south of Taihang mountain, and takes the traditional “stone house” in Wan Xian Shan scenic area for example, of which we made a depth study on the conservation and renewal of the traditional regional architecture and hope it would have some model significances.This project has the following main sections:Part I-The prerequisites: explaining the special research area of the project particularly, indicating the specific scope of the object of study, furthering clarification about area, emphasizing the regional.Part Ⅱ-The theory basis: taking traditional regional architecture, vernacular dwellings, mountain architecture, stone architecture, landscape architecture as the starting point to summarize the relevant research results, and make a comprehensive understanding of theoretical research, and collect practical research information, and strengthen the theoretical basis, and sum up the development tendency of research, and clear research directions.Part III-The core elements: on the basis of previous research, we make in-depth analysis and study on the basic of properties of the South Taihang mountains traditional regional architecture in four areas-history and culture, natural environment, construction material technology, tourism and industry development. In order to provide sufficient conditions for scientific conservation and renewal.Part IV-Main content: by fully studying the basic properties of the traditional regional architecture in South Taihang mountain, we identify six principles of conservation and renewal of traditional regional architecture, namely authenticity, integrity, completeness, hierarchy, dynamic nature and science. We take the traditional “stone house” of Wanxian mountain scenic area in south Taihang mountain as the special case studies, to in-depth analysis and summarize the main problems in the conservation and renewal. And aiming at the existent problem, we put forward seven measures, providing the basis for subsequent case design.Part Ⅴ-The important part: we take practical design study based on the early theoretical study. Taking a damaged courtyard in Guoliang village of Wan Xian mountain for cases, we study and analysis in-depth its existing basic status features and the protection and update problems it is facing. We take "two a replacement, two not variable, two a upgrade, two a continued, two a promoting" as design ideas, to put forward proposed should strategy article-by-article, and through design programme to state the strategy of specific implementation method.Finally, we summarize research results, and analysis where the problem would be, to pave further study.
