In the metro areas of project management, project schedule management is one of the branches of a very important; it is the subway project management is an important measure. In traditional subway project schedule management mode, often there are some human factors, such as student syndrome, Parkinson's Law and so on. This will make the estimated duration time is too long, causing project delays situation. Key chain management technology will be able to make this situation has been greatly improved, effectively compensate for the traditional subway project schedule management method in some problems, so we need to key-chain-depth study to explore the theory, which is the subway project management has very important significance.In the article, we mainly used literature analysis, and other methods. First, comb, reviews the progress of traditional project management theory and methods, and the problems which briefly comb, and then leads to the key chain technology and theory. Secondly, the basic theory and critical thinking as well as chains such as its basic contents and use are described, comparative analysis of the differences between key chain technology and traditional methods of project schedule management and its related advantages. Again, the paper identifying key chain buffer settings and other management issues are discussed and analyzed the progress of construction of the subway project management optimization model based on a key chain. This model is set on the import buffer and resource constraints on the complexity of factors such as the subway project were considered, and made a principal component analysis, which was allocated for the buffer amount in the non-critical work settings import buffer, which is conducive to the progress of the control of the project, conflicts, key strand breaks and other issues have been effectively resolved, greatly improved the import buffer settings to make it more scientific and reasonable. Finally, the paper cases the actual subway projects were introduced, respectively, using schedule management PERT / CPM and key chain model to develop it plan, and comparison of the two results. Through case studies, in order to explain the proposed import papers buffer setting methods are better on the stability, the model is more conducive to progress control, making the project duration shortened. This thesis research project knowledge management system was further improved to help further enhance the level of project management; it has a strong practical significance.
