Abstract/Summary:
In recent years, critical chain method(Critical Chain Method, CCM) has become a hot topic in the field of construction project schedule management. By comparing the critical chain method with traditional project schedule, this dissertation summed up the connotation, the theoretical basis and the rationale of the critical chain method. The application process of critical chain in the schedule management of project group is specified: firstly, a priority evaluation system is built and gray relational analysis is applied to determine the rank of each project in the project group; secondly, based on the results of the rank of projects, the critical chain of each project in the project group is determined using Critical Path Method and ACTIM criteria; finally, project buffer of the critical chain and import buffer of non-critical chain are determined according to position weight coefficient of the various tasks in the project activities and risk factors.On the basis of analysis above, the construction schedule of project group is optimized in this dissertation using critical chain method. Based on the application of gray correlation analysis to rank projects, the critical chain of the three construction projects under resource constraints, and project buffer of the critical chain and import buffer of non-critical chain are determined. It is concluded through example verification that, the use of critical chain method can reduce construction time of each project. The total duration of the project group is shorten as well, which ensures the realization of the project group’s schedule management objectives. The method introduced in this dissertation is of great significance in the optimization of resource distribution and effective use of resource, in the fulfillment of contract with quality and quantity, in reaching economic interests of corporate and enhancing corporate brand value as well as the customer satisfaction.
