In recent years, with the slowdown in the pace of development of our economy,enterprises are facing pressure to change, especially in the construction industry enterprises are facing high production costs, old equipment, waste of resources,behind schedule, quality and safe standards can not be further improved, etc., this situation caused a major reason is that under the traditional project management model transfer and sharing of information between the presence during the project life cycle fracture, distortion, poor and so the traditional information communication has been far can not meet the needs of large-scale construction projects in this highly competitive situation, we need new management techniques and tools to improve project management and increase project profitability, enhance the competitiveness of construction enterprises. The basic concept of BIM(Building Information Model) is to achieve full sharing of information transfer and seamless whole project life cycle,and practice at home and abroad about BIM BIM has proven to reduce production costs, improved technology, saving huge value of the resource, schedule control and other aspects of the radically improve project management level and efficiency,therefore, the current application of BIM in construction project management has become a very important and hot research topic.By reference to a number of documents, combined with the survey analysis, first analyzes and summarizes the characteristics and problems of traditional construction project management model, and to explore the application of BIM in different project management model proposed is an integrated project management best mode BIM applications; secondly from the concept and features of the building information model, analyzes the advantages of BIM engineering applications in the building life cycle; and third, to build the application framework and BIM workflows in project management, respectively, from the data layer information model layer and application layer functionality described BIM technical realization of ideas, provide system protection for BIM applications; Finally, BIM advantages and prefabricated housing characteristics, explore BIM in the emerging prefabricated housing production application mode, and the future application of BIM prospected.
