| As an important factor of global economic competition,patents lead to disputes all over the world.Patent information,which accompanies patent system,is an effective means to improve technological level and competitiveness with full use of the patent system.At the same time,patent information analysis has become an important source of information to Governments and enterprises.China is one of the world’s 13 water-poor countries,per capita possession of fresh water resources is only a quarter of the world average.Water has become a constraint to sustainable economic and social development of the coastal areas,so we must vigorously develop the desalination industry.From a global perspective,70% of freshwater come from desalination in Saudi Arabia,Israel and other Middle East countries,and the United States,and Japan,Spain and other countries are also striving to develop desalination industry.There are more than 300 million people worldwide are partially or totally dependent on desalinated water to meet daily needs.Through years of development,desalination technology has become more sophisticated,applications have been expanding,the cost has been gradually reduced,and the market potential is widely optimistic.In such a critical stage of industrialization,it is necessary to analyze the current situation of a desalination industry from the perspective of the patent,and to make a suggestion for the industrial development of desalination based on the results of the patent analysis,in order to further promote the development of desalination and to improve the core competitiveness of the desalination industry.The full text is divided into five chapters: Chapter I,Introduction.The scope of desalination industry as well as the concept and method of patent analysis are described,besides,the research background and methods are introduced herein.The second chapter analyzes the development status of the desalination industry.The basic contents and development of desalination technology,an overview of the present situation of the desalination industry are introduced in this chapter.The third chapter,global patent information analysis for the desalination industry.The author gathered the desalination industry related patents in world’s major countries,analyzed the feathers such as,trends of desalination technology-related patents,national distribution,technical classification and so on,dependent on both the domestic and foreign samples,and judged development status and trends of the desalination industry from the perspective of patent.Chapter IV,strategy recommendations for desalination industry development.Based on the analysis of the previous two chapters,this chapter identified the development strengths and weaknesses,opportunities and threats of China’s industrial desalination using SWOT analysis method,and comprehensively analyzed related factors affecting the desalination industry and the conclusion from the patent analysis.Besides,proposed the principle of desalination industry from the perspective of patent,and put forward specific proposals for the work from government and industry associations as well as companies and research institutions these two levels.Chapter V,summary and outlook.This chapter summarizes the main content of paper,and put forward some prospects for future research directions. |
