The Research Of Software Requirement Management In A Company

With the advent of the Internet financial era, the business operation of China’s financial and insurance enterprises is increasingly symbiotic with IT systems. Besides, the users have more and more requirements and expectations of IT departments. Company A is a growing insurance company. In recent years, due to the changes of the company’s strategies, operations and requirements of information systems, the software development systems and content increase a lot, and the software development and process management system has been improved steadily. However, the management process of software requirements in Company A does not fully play the scientific and effective role in the management and controlling. Additionally, there are some problems of requirement elicitation, requirement analysis and requirement changes remained to be studied and solved.This paper mainly studies the requirement management situations of Company A and then analyzes the problems of the requirement management based on the theoretical basis for requirement engineering and requirement management, and combined with the author’s practice in Company A. Currently, the problems of requirement management in Company A include that submit quality of customers’ needs is not high, the requirement analysis is not complete and the demand schedule is not standardized. Through the analysis, these problems are caused by the internal part of IT and the operating department. In this paper, the related theories of demand, including the demand obtaining techniques, requirement change control and other methods, are used to propose the specific solutions to the software requirement management of Company A. Finally, the author explained application results of the improved measures through specific practical applications. The solutions of Company A to optimize the software demand management are:1. To optimize the confirmation part of demand obtaining, increasing the means of demand obtaining and refining the relevant processes; 2. To use the demand management tools. Solidify the requirement management process and strengthen the traceability of the requirements by using demand management system with strong expansion and highly cost-performance. Provide tools and data support for better requirements tracing; 3. To optimize the requirements analysis methods. Improve the efficiency of the analysis by establishing an overall requirement analysis process to have further communications with the user and confirm the requirements; 4. To optimize the demand management process, especially a more rigorous assessment and control for requirement changes.This paper gives an overall solution from requirements obtaining to analysis for Company A, and provides references and decision support for the requirement management of Company A.
