Research On Software Requirement Management Of JB Company

With the development of economy and society, the scale and complexity of software projects also grows and the demands of users change more frequently, thus the management of software projects is confronted with more challenges. How to manage it well is an important element which not only has impact on customers’ satisfaction, but also on the software enterprises’ competitiveness. Currently, many software enterprises haven’t been doing a good job on software management, far from the mature stage. Thus, the research on the investigation of demands, software development and management is not only of academic significance, but also of practical significance.In order to adapt to the competition in the market, JB company made strategic transformation in 2011, from the early supplier of collection ofterminal grid data to switch to be the information service company providing intelligent terminals and solutions in the field of Web of things. JB company set up four core business product line, namely Intelligent grid, Intelligent Business, Intelligent Medical Care,IntelligentLogistics.During this period, the internal organization has developed lots of software projects and made a degree of achievements. Since JB company was mainly involved in the research and development of hardware, and due to the lack of related personnel and experience and the restriction of many subjective and objective factors, JB company hasn’t built up scientific and complete demands management standards and procedures.By referring to the domestic and overseas theoretical research on and application data of demands management of software projects and the current situation of JBcompany, this article has probed into the problems on the demand management of its software projects and its reasons from the angles of the development management of project demands, the management of demands changes, and track management and put forward feasible solutions and implementation plans. This research is based on truthful data and cases and thus is supposed to be helpful to other projects of JB company and also other software companies of the same kind.
