Strategic management is based on the environment in which businesses and their own resources on the formation, development of enterprise-oriented planning. Competitive strategy is part of the strategic management, competitive strategy can make a good core competitiveness of enterprises improved to make it more rapid development.Western Mining Group Co., Ltd. is the integration of mining, dressing, smelting, Canada, Western trade listed companies on December 28, 2000 was established to engage in mining of copper, lead, zinc, iron, steel, technology, smelting and trade other business-oriented. The company established in Shanghai investment and financing, ITC organizations, of scientific research and technology development center in Beijing. It involves non-ferrous, rare and precious metals, energy management and development, resource exploration and investment in overseas mining resources, and so on nine industrial sectors, currently has four medium-sized mining enterprises have maintained good momentum.On this basis, the Western Mining Group Co., Ltd. Competitive Strategy, this paper analyzed business strategy management theory and the theory of competitive strategy at home and abroad. Then the enterprise external environment analysis, environmental analysis using PEST + Natural Law, "Five Forces Model" and "External Factor Evaluation"(EFE) matrix and the competitive situation matrix(CPM), a comprehensive evaluation of the external environment of the Western Mining Co., Ltd. industry competition and the opportunities and threats, was found to have more opportunities outside threat. Then(IFE) matrix for the company’s internal strengths and weaknesses were analyzed by analysis of internal resources and internal factor evaluation, found that the company internal strengths greater than the outer disadvantage.Based on the above analysis, and then analyzed using SWOT analysis Moment strategic program Applicable Western Mining Group Co., Ltd., and then use the matrix QSPM comprehensive quantitative and qualitative analysis of the feasibility of competitive strategy selection, it puts forward the corresponding cost-based competitive differentiation strategy. The implementation of the strategy should be competitive by marketing differentiation, technological differentiation, target market differentiation, differentiation corporate image and reduce operating costs to carry out five areas. Finally, to ensure the implementation of the competitive strategy is proposed to optimize the organizational structure, improve the human structure, strengthen the brand and information technology and to improve the financial management capacity of these safeguards.
