Industrial tourism all round has burgeoned. Sichuan, as a big western industrial province,has accumulated massive industrial tourism resources from its 60 years’ industrial development. Economic development and policy support provide a beneficial external development environment for the development of industrial tourism. The growth of people’s consumption level and the diversification of the demand provide the marketing support for the development of industrial tourism. Although industrial tourism in Sichuan Province started early, it’s still in its infancy. Under the experience economy background, Sichuan industrial tourism is facing competition from natural resources tourism and needs further development.This paper firstly summarized the industrial tourism literature in and abroad, analyzed the characteristics and trends of the industrial tourism development in the experience economy era, and investigated the current situation and problems of industrial tourism development in Sichuan Province, on the basis of discussion of the connotation of the experience economy. Secondly it analyzed the external environment of the industrial tourism development in Sichuan, tourist market as well as market competition based on the combing of industrial tourism resources in Sichuan. Industrial tourism need to be activated by“experience”. Thirdly, combining the development characteristics of experience economy, it explored Sichuan industrial tourism product development principles, priorities and modes,then proposed the integrated marketing strategy which takes the tourists as the core. Finally,the paper brought up the development countermeasures of Sichuan industrial tourism and delved a road of tourism with Sichuan industrial regional characteristics and new approach of economic development from strategy, main body of development, personnel training,marketing, products ‘mining and so on.The characteristic of this paper lies in the following aspects:(1) Through questionnaire of the development of the market situation in Sichuan tourism industry and field research on the part of the scenic, predominated business and consumer attitudes of Sichuan tourism industry; through, mastered market developments,(2) using data confirmed that tourists’ concept of consumption with the times and quietly changed.(3) Use the theory of tourism area life cycle, analyzed tourist attractions in Sichuan traditional industries are stagnant stage, which be badly in need of integrating into the experience of the upgrading; while the high-tech industry of tourism resources in the exploratory stage, need to intensify the efforts to develop and enhance the experience of travel products.(4) On the basis of the global tourism integrated marketing communication theory put forward countermeasures for development of tourism industry in Sichuan.
