Science and technology industry of national defense is a national strategic industry, which concerns comprehensive national power and national defense capabilities. Military enterprise is the mainstay of defense scientific research and production, shouldering the dual mandate of serving for national defense and military and national economy. M group company is a large state-owned enterprise that gives priority to body with a local military enterprise remained in the third national military production capacity adjustment, which is principally for military production at present.The development of the military enterprise affects not only the survival of enterprises, bus also the development of science and technology industry of national defense, and the realization of science and technology industry of national defense modernization. While, along with the market economy going deep further, the system, mechanism and operation pattern of military enterprise are increasingly unable to meet the needs of enterprise development. So It is imperative to reform and change on account of the enterprise management difficulties.The purpose of the study is to determine the feasible development strategy for the M group company, hoping that can provide guidance for the development of the group company.In this paper, the structure is divided into five chapters. The third chapter elaborates the development history of military industry and the production and management status quo of group company. The forth chapter analyses the external environment and internal conditions of the M group company according to the strategic management theory. Based on this, make strategic matching and selection for the group company. The fifth chapter makes strategic goal, business strategy and functional strategy for the group company on the basis of strategic analysis.
