Study On The Evaluation Of Beef Cattle Industry Performance In Xinjiang

Xinjiang has a long history of beef cattle industry.As an important part of animal husbandry; it canpromote the development of rural economy and raise the income level of farmers. Relative to mutton sheepindustry, however, the contribution rate of beef cattle industry to animal husbandry output value is low.Relative to other major animal husbandry provinces, Xinjiang beef cattle industry development is relativelybackward, for beef cattle industry failed to give full play to the natural advantages and location advantages,which leads to the market supply and demand imbalance and higher beef prices. In the long run, it will goagainst the sustainable development of beef cattle industry. Lack of theoretical research on the performanceof beef cattle industry, mostly stay in the aspect of economic results.These can’t find problems existing inthe process of industrial development, which has little influence on the actual development of beef cattleindustry.This research mainly aims to broaden the connotation of the beef cattle industry performance andanalyze beef cattle industry performance from the organization performance, gathering performance andmarket performance. First of all, from the deposit and fattened stock of beef cattle, production,consumption and the regional distribution, it analyzes the overall situation of beef cattle industrydevelopment in Xinjiang; Secondly, through the field survey data, it analyzes production scale, influencefactors and sales of beef cattle industry; Finally, through building the theory of beef cattle industryperformance and the index system of the beef cattle industry performance in Xinjiang, it evaluates theperformance of beef cattle industry in Xinjiang according to the variable fuzzy evaluation model and greycorrelation model.The main conclusions of this research: the beef cattle industry in Xinjiang is in rapid development stage,the increasing demand for beef and the huge potential in beef consumption; Through qualitative andquantitative comprehensive evaluation of the beef cattle industry performance in Xinjiang, the overallperformance level is not high; Organization performance, gathering performance and market performancehave larger differences and the degree of organizational, scale, benefit and efficiency is lower.
