The Optimization Research Of G Company’s Warehouse Management

As an important function in modern manufacturing enterprises, logistic attracts a high degree of attention by enterprises. Particularly in recent years, logistics system of manufacturing enterprise is more complicated. For manufacturing enterprises, The activities of the warehouse management connects to the supply of raw material and the sales of products directly, and it has great significance for the interests of manufacturing business. G company is a manufacturing enterprise specializing in the production of all kinds of fork parts. Facing the rapid development in the future, the backward of the warehouse management and restrict the warehouse staff faced from the unreasonable warehouse layout increasingly obvious. Given this, it is utmost urgency for G company to optimize Warehouse Management. In the meantime, the study of warehouse management optimization of the G company provides effective references for warehouse management activities of similar enterprises in our country.This paper starts with warehouse management in distribution logistics and optimizes G company’s warehouse management from two aspects-warehouse layout and storage position planning. Then, qualitative and quantitative methods are used to analyze G company’s order data and warehouse allocation plan and an evaluation is made in this paper. First, this paper makes a brief summary for the EIQ analysis, SLP analysis, Fuzzy Comprehensive Evaluation model and relevant research results on warehouse management. Second, through the analyzing of current situation of G company’s warehouse management,we discovered that problems of the company mainly focused on position planning and warehouse layout.And then, based on EIQ analysis, warehouse orders of G company are analyzed from three aspects of EQ, IQ and IK. Simultaneously, based on the EIQ result and COI model, a warehouse storage position planning of G company is proposed,and on the basis of Golden section theory,dicide G company’s warehouse shelves storage area into three areas and then get the distribution of all kinds of products on the shelves storage area. Later, based on SLP analysis, The integrated relationship between various zones of G company is analyzed in this paper, based on which it optimize the warehouse layout and find a more reasonable scheme connecting with the practical situation of G company. Finally, evaluated model to evaluate optimization results of warehouse management is built by using Analytic Hierarchy Process. And the questionnaire which gets excellent results from 50 managers and technical personnel of G company shows that the optimization study is of certain help to warehouse management of G company.In this thesis, from the perspective of G company’s future, the author studies the optimization of the warehouse layout and position planning through field investigation and quite a lot of data collection. It has certain practical significance. I hope this research can resolves the G company’s actual problems and provides effective references for warehouse management activities of similar enterprises in our country.
