Research And Optimization Of Financial Share Service For China Telecom A Province Branch

Financial shared service appeared in 1980 s and Ford in the U.S was the first corporation that set up financial shared service center to provide financial shared service. As a new financial management mode, by integrating the financial accounting of a certain corporation, financial shared service could unify the standard of financial accounting and financial management, improving the quality of financial information, enhancing the level of management, reducing the operational cost and generating positive outcome. It is especially suitable for multinational corporations and large-scale conglomerates with numerous branches. After being introduced into China, financial shared service has embraced rapid development.China Telecom introduced financial shared service management pattern in 2008. During the initial period of construction, because of the various scale of corporations in South and North China, China Telecom adopted the method with two templates operating collaterally, which is more practical, instead of the national-unified standard. The North took Province A as experimental unit to develop the provincial financial shared service operation mode template, whereas the South took Province B as experimental unit. The template has been promoted all around the country after it has been tested and commissioned.Based on related financial shared service theories, our passage analyzes the operation of financial shared service in Province A’s Telecom. By the comparison of financial shared service mode between A and B, we summarize the strength and weakness of Province A and come up with rationalized proposals to make some improvements.Our passage mainly consists of six chapters.
