Facing the increasing competition under buyer’s market environment, in order to make customer satisfied, the traditional manufacturing enterprises have to change to services. At the meanwhile, the managers analyze all the values which are created by each business activity of the enterprises in the aspect of strategy, and try to enhance the competitive position in the market through Value Chain. For example, if wants to get advantage on cost, the accumulated cost of the value chain in that enterprise should be lower than others. Business Intelligence technology collects the data to process, to analyze, then to manage and to store, and finally transfers those data into information to enterprise managers. This helps obtain the potential knowledge or business rules from the market earlier than the competitors, and also assists to make decisions, then gets the strategic deployed in advance.This thesis uses normative research method on Business Intelligence for outbound logistics performance analysis system. First, from the technology and theory, respectively statements on Business Intelligence and Value Chain Analysis, and also reviews the current research status of the whole world. After that, introduces the brief meaning of traditional manufacturing industry and manufacturing services. Then, with M manufacturing as example, defines Outbound Logistics as value-added activity based on the analysis of Value Chain. Regarding to business rules of outbound logistics, logic models and physical data, OLAP multiple dimension reports, designs and builds Outbound Logistics Performance Analysis System for Manufacturing M. Finally, researches on outbound logistics with the actual data from manufacturing, and provides the optimization solutions for the system. This thesis is a real reduction of the implementation of Business Intelligence technology on outbound logistics, and solves some problems found during the research..
