Research On The Application Of Business Intelligence In Logistics Management And Decision-making Support

It remains hard to analyze and integrate the large amount of data accumulated in the management of logistics. Few in-depth analyses have been done. It has become urgent need for logistics management and decision-making to acquire accurate, timely and high quality information, which calls for higher technique and methods for screening out efficacious information from huge amount of data.Business Intelligence can extract the efficacious information from the data and thus provides support in the decision making process. It has been widely used in many fields in the world, but not so widely and much less widely in logistics in China. Therefore, it is meaningful and practical to research into the introduction of Business Intelligence in logistics management in providing support to decision making and integrating logistics operations.The dissertation puts forwards a new systematic and integrated management mode of logistics in view of the problem of individual, discrete management of logistics. This dissertation highlights the new model of the application of Business Intelligence to the decision-making and management of logistics and the probe into the effective application modes on the basis of comprehensive review of the development and application of Business Intelligence at home and abroad. The combination of Business Intelligence and logistics will integrate the different sectors of logistics, improve the quality of decision making and the service of logistics enterprises, create a new mode of logistics management, and push forward further development and application of Business Intelligence in the Chinese enterprises.
