Fifth Plenary Session of the Sixteenth Communist Party of China firstlyproposed building a new socialist countryside which was the great historical mission,pointing out the direction for the current and future periods of the “three rural” work.The new rural construction has been carried out in full swing in the country, and manyachievements have been achieved. Many parts of the countryside become a new look.However, China is a country with1.3billion population, two-thirds of the ruralpopulation and the urban-rural dual structure, thus making farmers in disadvantagedsocial status. If we want to change the position in which the farmers, we musthighlight the dominant position of the farmers in the new socialist countrysideconstruction. Currently, however, there are many problems in the construction of newsocialist countryside: slow increase of farmers; the dominant position of the farmershave not been reflected in many respects. So, it is crucial to mobilize their enthusiasmand creativity, highlighting the role of farmers and the vitality of the role of farmer toachieve the new rural construction.Building a new countryside, we must respect the farmers’ pioneering spirit; wemust know, understand and treat farmers according to the requirements of the newrural construction. The key to success of new rural construction is that farmers’ mainrole can be fully played, farmers’ entrepreneurial potential can be fully stimulate, theirmaterial interests can be fully respected and their democratic rights can be fullyprotected. Through the efforts of governments at all levels, and the enthusiasm andcreative ability of the masses of peasants, rural social, economic, cultural and otherundertakings can flourish, new countryside will be able to build more beautiful.This paper is divided into four parts:Part one: Farmers subjectivity theoretical basis and practical basis. Firstly, thissection analyzes the subject, subjectivity, subjectivity of farmers and other relatedconcepts from a philosophical point of view. And then describes Marx’s relatedtheories about subjectivity, which establishes the guiding ideology for this article.And also discusses that both Marxist classical writers and our leaders pay attention tothe importance of the issue of farmers. Secondly, this section analyzes realistic basisof playing farmers’ subjectivity in the new socialist countryside construction ofChina.Part two: It is the key to give full play to farmers’ subjectivity to progress in building a new socialist countryside. It discusses the role of farmers from two aspects:the farmers are the main strength of the new rural construction, creativity and valuesubject. And finally insists the significance of the dominant position of farmers in thenew rural construction.Part three: Current status and reason of farmer’s subjectivity missing in buildinga new socialist countryside. This part is mainly about the current status of farmers’subjectivity, through the analysis of the status in building a new countryside, and thenfinds the constraints.Part four: Countermeasures about farmers’ subjectivity in building a newsocialist countryside. This part mainly based on China’s national conditions and theobjective needs of the new rural construction, presenting some countermeasures andsuggestions about farmers’ subjectivity both from the farmers and the government.
