With the fast development of Internet network bandwidth and mature of grid technology. People always favor enjoying the high quality video services from the Internet; the network video service has become the main service on the Internet.Where,the video server represented by the video grid with hybrid architecture make full use of the fragmentary resource of clients provide services to other clients,consequently, the resource consumption and load of dedicated servers will be reduced effectively and the service ability of the system will be increased as well. However, it is too hard to calculate the service ability of the client that was influenced by many factors. As an intelligent computational tool, FCM(Fuzzy Cognitive Map) has the advantage of intuitive knowledge representation and fast numerical reasoning ability,and is applied for system modeling and reasoning; it can represent the direct and indirect relationships among the multiple factors, therefore, in this paper, FCM is introduced to calculate the service ability of the video grid with hybrid architecture.Specific contents are as follows:(1)The different structure of video service process was established by Any Logic,Those server service performance was analyzed through tweak the parameters of the user arrival distribution, cache capacity, The effects of various parameters on the client service and the relationship between the influencing factors was concluded, and then introduce the FCM to analyze the modified rule of client service ability modified through its parameters. The running result shows that the model of the video grid can provide strong help to deeply study the variety characters of the video grid because the model can provide the running process in macroscopic or microcosmic view to measure the video grid and the laws of the system service performance vary with parameters more clear with FCM.(2)Aiming at the characteristics of the client services on the video grid with hybrid architecture, FCM is introduced to calculate the service ability of client, in which the network bandwidth, delay, failure probability, film hot degree, buffered video data flow, user’s online time and the number of users online is as the factors to affect the service ability of client. The simulation results shows that client service ability calculation based on FCM has the characteristic of high accuracy, quick calculating speed, good stability, is suitable for client service ability calculation on the video grid with hybrid architecture.(3)The Large Fuzzy Cognitive Map was proposed for service ability assessment of the video grid with hybrid architecture. The current situation of large FuzzyCognitive Map of complex system was researched. The large Fuzzy Cognitive Map about the service ability of the video grid with hybrid architecture was established combined with the scheduling process of severs of the video grid with hybrid architecture and analyze the mutual influence of service ability between each server,and then the mathematical model of system service ability was established.FCM was proposed for service ability calculated of the video grid with hybrid architecture, which can calculate the service ability of client according to various complex factors and further calculate the service ability of video grid system through establishing large Fuzzy Cognitive Map about the service ability of the video grid with hybrid architecture. Those researches have some practical meaning for scheduling strategy, the node amount and the node sites to deploy.
