Information architecture is one of the widely used technologies in the field of modern electronic information technology. With the increase of the number of nodes and the increase of the scale, information architecture has distributed, heterogeneous and dynamic characteristics of distributed architecture, and has been widely used in the fields of telecommunication, military affairs, and transportation and so on. Due to the high requirement of real-time performance in many applications, more and more attention is focused on the measurement of the performance of the system structure data transmission. Due to the high complexity and widely distributed nodes of information architecture, the end- to- end performance of the system is measured to determine whether it can meet the performance requirements of design and development, in order to ensure the stable operation of the system structure and further improve. Therefore, it is very important for information architecture developers to study on the method of performance measurement of information architecture and develop measurement system.Firstly, this thesis introduces current status of the research of the performance measurement of distributed architecture, and then points out measurement needs, and chooses one-way delay, loss rate and throughput as the measurement indicators and makes research on the features and data transmission process of information architecture. Based on active measurement technique, the performance measurement methods are proposed.Using the proposed method, this thesis developes a performance measurement system based on component technology, and conducts measurement and analysis the test result. To simulate real load during runtime in the architecture, two typical traffic models are built in the form of component by studying traffic model.Finally, the thesis uses the performance measurement system to carry out endto-end performance measurement and measure one-way delay, throughput and packet loss rate of HIT-TENA at different data transfer status. The thesis explains the test results and analysis test error. The measurement results show that the performance measurement system developed in this thesis can meet the design requirements to measure the data transmission performance of HIT-TENA architecture.
