| Slogan is one of the main means of our country’s government information transmission at the grass-roots level. With government outdoor propaganda slogans in Jiuquan rural area as the research object, the author made field survey in Jiuquan rural areas, and uses the questionnaire survey and content analysis method to make a comprehensive analysis on the slogan, in order to put forward solving measures of the slogan problem and make the slogans better play its function in the rural areas.Through field survey, this paper summarizes the main content, publishers, audience,publishing location and form of government outdoor propaganda slogans in Jiuquan rural area.And on the basis of analyzing the effect of the audience, this paper summarizes the existing problems in the rural outdoor slogans. Survey finds that government outdoor propaganda slogans in Jiuquan rural area exist the following problems: the slogan source dispersion; the voidness and grandness of content, with ambiguity references and too much words; lack of people-oriented consciousness and failure to meet the needs of farmers. At the same time, slogan also faces enormous challenges: the impact of new media, the reduction of carrier and the awakening to farmers’ democratic consciousness. However, rural slogan doesn’t means nothing. Comparing with the past slogan environment, it has been significantly improved--- slogan relatively standardized,fewer wrong words or grammatical errors, content’s shift from cold to warmth, fast replacement,and strong timeliness.Slogan in rural areas gradually has decreasing trend and gradually functional decline. Many scholars believe that rural government propaganda slogans will be replaced by the mass media and new media, but the author thinks that all of this can’t change the role of signals in the dissemination of information at the grassroots level. On the contrary, its presence is necessary. So the author puts forward the following three measures to problems in slogans: people-oriented awareness, scientific management; local conditions, advancing with the times and meeting the interests and needs of the audience. |
