With the continuous popularity of the Internet and the rapid development of Internet technology, modern society is increasingly depending on the Internet. sometimes when the wired network is not convenient for quick access to important information and direct use of mobile phones on the 3g network for short periods of time browsing the web will cost a lot of cell phone traffic and a lot of money, besides most of the time the network speed is too slow, make it difficult to open the web page. At that time search nearby wireless network is required to complete their own purposes, therefore leads people to the service demand for wireless network is becoming more and more strong, the use of the wireless network is becoming more and more widely. It is very important of how to realize high-speed wireless data transmission between different terminals through WIFI.This paper adopts ARM + Linux’s plan for fast wireless transmission of video information, Because of the wireless network video transmission based on embedded system has advantages such as low cost, small volume, convenient deployment and stable performance, it has attracted more and more people’s eyes. ARM embedded system has a lot of advantages, such as small volume, compact structure, low cost, take up the space is small, can be cut and support the wireless network, so it has big use value of adopting the ARM + Linux solutions in the process of video acquisition and transmission. This paper realize the video wireless transmission through ARM + Linux, the paper concentrates on the following contents:1. Fully understand the samsung S3C6410 development board and set up the embedded Linux system which based on the Linux kernel on it, then transplant the device driver program. Strive to build the platform of stable performance so as to meet the requirements of wireless video transmission.2. In view of the camera used in this experiment, the video collection procedures based on V4L2 is written by using c + + language.3. After completion of video acquisition work, compressed video format and compress the video data we collected successfully.4. Do a lot of research on network video transmission protocol before the wireless transmission of video image.5. On the client side, this paper using Qt for video reception work, the image received is complete and clear.To sum up, this paper focuses on the acquisition, transmission and receiving of clear video image by using S3C6410 development board to provide platform and transplant the Linux system.
