At present, with the pheno men o f freque nt accidens of constr uction safety andsecur ity s ituatio n gr im occurred, the security mana ge ment and monitor ing o fconstr uction safety are attracting more and more people s attention. Because of theinflue nce factors of the construction safety enviro nmenta l changed quick ly,personne lexercise frequently and build ing mater ia ls perplexing, conventiona l wired monitor ingsystem can’t meet the need of the construction s ite. While the existing wirelessmonitoring system is because of the expens ive price, high cost and diffic ultma intenance, construction ma nage ment is unwilling to assume. So, the design of awire less remote rea l-time monitoring system, which ha ve the advantage of portableequip ment,s imp le installatio n,high ratio of perfor mance to price,low powercons umptio n,stable perfor mance and good mob ility,recyc lable,will have a very wideuse value and application prospect.In this paper, combined with the actual construction safety environme nt,wedesign a remote real-time wireless video mo nitor ing syste m,that based on thefra mework of ARM11with S3C6410microprocessor as the core,of spec ial applicationfor construction safety. The ma in contents of this paper are:(1) Embedded monitoring syste m and the deve lopme nt and trend of theconstr uction safety monitor ing are analys issed, the overall design sc heme o f thesystem is put forward and the positio ning of the system functio n is be sure.(2) Choice S3C6410processor produced by Sams ung Corp as the core, designthe hardware structure. At the sa me time,it is the design and ana lys is of hardwarecircuit for NAND FLASH, camera module, seria l port, JTAG inter face, wirelesscommunication module and so on.(3) The software deve lopme nt platfor m is created and the transplant andconfiguratio n of the underlying software is comp leted,whic h include the transp lant ofbootloader, kerne l configuration a nd transpla ntation, making the root file s ystem, boaserver and network video server cutting and transplantatio n.(4) The deve lopment o f the video acquis ition program based on V4L2iscomp leted,to achieve the wireless trans miss io n of video ima ge data based on theTCP/IP protoco l by socket progra mming, ho me page of Monitoring is designed anddeve loped,and have dyna mic interactive function of page. Fina lly, the monitor ing syste m will be placed in a construction site of a buildingof34storeys high to test. According to the remote termina l screen disp lay, the effectof video monitor ing is well,a nd the monitor ing s ystem achie ves the design goals..
