With the rapid development of science and technology, and the continuous expansion of the application field, the knowledge system of radar technology has been more and more comprehensive,especially in the field of national defense and military application. Therefore,in order to ensure the stability and reliability of radar’s working performance,it is rather necessary to develop a set of the test system of radar which is fully functional and stable.This topic develops the radar test system,which is used to test a certain type radar during all stages of the development of radar,which is strictly and comprehensively tested to ensure the smooth progress of development and production.This thesis does fully analysis for the technical specifications and testrequirements, and proposes the software and hardware implementation based on hybrid bus technology.The part of hardware design, the radar test system is consisted of the combination of power supply, the combination of PXI cabinet and the combination of frequency source cabinet.The combination of power supply is used to supply power for the radar.The combination of PXI cabinet, which is the core of the whole test system, realize the control of radar system, data acquisition and communication with radar. RS-485 card used a interface converter chip, IL485, to achieve the communication with radar. RS-422 card achieve synchronous 422 and asynchronous 422 communication with radar. LVDS communication card receives and stores the differential signal of 300 Mbps that is transmitted by radar. This thesis will introduce stressingly the design principle of LVDS card, firmware design and Signal Integrity simulation. Multi channel digital I/O card achieve the communication of LVDS(2.5V level)with radar, detection and output of digital signal and the measurement of pulse signal. PXI-5152 digital instrument adopt external trigger mode to achieve DDS signal acquisition. PXI-6224 card and PXI-6723 card achieve analog signal acquisition and output. The combination of frequency source provide product with 5 different frequency signals and achieve 28V/0V signal acquisition and output.The part of software design, the system software design and VISA driver design has completed based on Lab Windows/CVI development platform.Meanwhile, In the software, the multithread technology are used to complete the data transmitting, receiving, binding, analyzing and storing, The speed of the response of the program is improved obviously, To ensure the stability, real-time and fluency of the software.Finally, the thesis makes hardware functional test and system joint debugging about the radar test system. The test result shows that radar test system can meet the requirements of technical specifications,and meet the requirements of the laboratory test and field test in the process of radar development.
