With the development of science and technology, robotics technology has gradually been good using in medical services, such as surgical, rescue, rehabilitation and so on. In the care and transfer of critical patients and other issues, it is still using the traditional way with hands, shoulders and other body parts working together to lift the patient up from one bed to the other. In that case, it not only increases the workload of the medical staff, but also any carelessness of theirs would bring secondary damage to the patient.This paper has designed a new transport system, which transfer apparatus and walking devices are separated. Transfer apparatus can move by itself, which working space is not limited, transfer process can be adjusted, with high flexibility and adaptability; walking device is a highly adjustable stretcher vehicle, which can realize the function of supporting transfer apparatus. The system make the patient lying down posture do not change in automatic transfer, which avoiding secondary injury patients,reducing the workload of nurses, and improving work efficiency.The paper puts forward a detailed design principle and overall planning from the view of safety, comfort and mechanical designing. Based on the theory of ergonomics, the main design parameters such as the geometry size, weight and the bearing capacity of the patient transfer apparatus are determined. The paper determine the basic transmission structure transfer apparatus, based on the force of the patient and the force and working principle of transfer apparatus. The paper determines the main mechanism of walking device, based on the function of walking device. According to the function and environment of the transfer system, the paper determines the control system scheme of the beds transport system.The paper based on the subjective experience of the beds transport system, the fuzzy comprehensive evaluation of the comfort of the transport system is carried out, and finally proved that the system has good comfort.
