Abstract/Summary:
This research is supported by the Technology Innovation Funding Program for Technical Enterprises of Jiangsu Province, which is named "Research on the Integrated Monitoring System based on Multi-network Converged Internet of Things"(No. BC2012006). The main work is to design and implement the monitoring gateway based on Internet of Things. After analyzing the design requirements, this thesis presents the implementation scheme of the monitoring gateway based on ARM9 board and embedded Linux operating system. The monitoring gateway can send two kinds of sensing information, namely the video and data, to the monitoring center for display, and the monitoring gateway will alert voice alarm and SMS alarm if detecting any abnormal situation. In addition, this thesis also proposes one moving target detection algorithm in video monitoring and applies the algorithm in the real system. The test results show that the developed monitoring gateway can work stably and meet the practical needs well.The content of the thesis is divided into six chapters as follows:In chapter 1, the background and research meaning of this subject is introduced, and the main task as well as the arrangement of each chapter is also described.In chapter 2, the application scenario and the design requirement of the system is firstly analyzed, then the overall system scheme and module structure of the monitoring system are proposed, followed with a brief description of the function of each module. Later in this chapter, the concrete analysis on the monitoring gateway is conducted and the realization scheme is designed respectively.In chapter 3, the hardware platform based on ARM9 development board and the software platform based on embedded Linux system are built, and the transplant of USB camera and 3G module drivers are introduced in detail.In chapter 4, the overall software scheme of the monitor gateway and the software module partition structure is designed, and then the software implementation process of the monitoring gateway is introduced, including the video monitoring and sensor network.In chapter 5, after analyzing the common moving target detection algorithms, a video-based detection algorithm using three frame difference method and background difference method is developed and is applied to the monitoring gateway system. In addition, the SMS alarm function is achieved using the on-board 3G module, featuring a multitasking technology.In chapter 6, the system’s test environment is set up, and then the monitoring gateway platform and the software function are tested and analyzed. The whole monitoring system is tested later, combining the monitoring gateway and the monitoring center’s software function. The test results show that the developed monitoring gateway can work stably and meet the practical needs well.
