Since 1994, the world’s first genetically modified food- genetically modified tomatoes entering the market, human consumption of GM foods has been 20 years. It has not been found one case of food safety issues has been confirmed so far. Although the World Health Organization and the European Commission and other authorities have clearly affirmed GM foods on the market are safe. But the controversy surrounding GM foods never stop. GM foods are full of negative information in our country. In early 2015, the government put forward the concept of Science Popularization of Genetic Modification for the first time, "Strengthening of genetic modification organism technical studies, safety management, science popularization."Internet media as an important source of information in modern society, and it’s report about GM foods, will subtly influence public perceptions and attitudes. Past research on GM foods mostly concentrated in newspaper media. In this research, I choose Sina as the research object, using various methods of content analysis method, from the construction issues, the position of perspective, text form three dimensions, all in 2007, 2011, 2015 three of year’s GM foods report for analysis. The author sought by comparing different periods of GM foods reports, to analysis the characteristics and problems of GM Food Network Communication, and from which to explore optimization strategy for the Internet media on GM foods report, in order to provide some help for the future of Science Popularization of Genetic Modification.The study found that the current presentation of the whole of GM reported characteristics and problems are: the number of reports is not a sustained upward trend, but showing around risk events reported peak; duplicate reports the same or similar content phenomenon; reports theme and perspective presence biased; tendency stepwise varying reports, the current GM foods were reported positive and negative positions stalemate; discourse center reports also found periodic changes in the public’s voice is not always taken seriously; manifestations of a single text reports, reported the effect limitations.For the problems existed, I propose the following optimization strategies:(1) the establishment of normal science communication mechanism;(2) improve scientific literacy and science communication ability of employees;(3) Practicing balance reports, complete reports, scientific reports, to enhance the quality of coverage.
