As the progress of science, the gap between scientific specialization and the demand of citizens become deeper.continues to infiltrate the lives of people, the rifts between scientific specialization and public demand are deepening. In 2015,with the American Association for the Advancement of Science(AAAS),the Pew Research Center released a report,<Public and Scientific Attitudes towards Science and Society>.The report shows that there is a clear divergence of opinion between the public and the scientists over some important scientific issues, including the currently highly publicized and controversial GM issues. In early 2015,the government put forward the concept of Science Popularization of Genetic Modification for the first time,"Strengthening of genetic modification organism technical studies, safety management, science popularization."This research chooses 3 object: <Science and Technology Daily>,which represent the position of government,“guokr”,a scientific communication platform, and the famous SNS “Weibo”.This research uses the content analysis and the classical theory of communication such as frame theory to analyze the report about genetically modified foods from the January 1,2015 to November 30,2017.Through the research,I want to understand the characteristics and problems of science communication in China, and put forward corresponding strategies. As a result, the report on <Science and Technology Daily> more about the government and scientist;the “guokr” presents more science progress, but seldom involves the voice of the government and citizens. The discussion in “Weibo” is based on events about genetically modified, lack of official point. In this three media,we have not seen the communication between government, scientists, citizens, businesses and stakeholders. It is difficult for public to understand science, but also can not participate in science. |
