Infrared detection technology as the 21 st century new technology that has been favored by all relevant scholars,both in the military field and civilian field plays an irreplaceable role, especially in military applications. Therefore, the technology becomes one of the important goals of the arms embargo on China technology. ROIC as the key part of the detection technology, its performance has been the judgment of advanced infrared detection technology. Presently,The function of the ROIC circuit is relatively simple, the integration is not high, the readout rate is low, the power consumption is large. So the paper designs a kind of Multifunctional ROIC for the above problems.Firstly,this paper introduces the history background, the significance and the development of ROIC. According to requirement, the design and implementation of the modules of the ROIC are determined,including the design of the data register,gray code counter design,multiple output control circuit design,the ranks of address decoder design,the design of the pixel unit,the design of charge amplifier and the design of output buffer.Finally, the chip,which this paper had desiged,has a lot of functions,such as dynamic window,read forward or reverse,multiplexed output,power regulating,gain control etc. The logic design and simulation Verification are finished on SUN workstation with chart 0.35μm process. The layout of all circuits is accomplished by using the layout design tool Virtuoso. Finally, test results have reached the expected design indexes with testing.In this paper, the design of Multifunctional 256×320 SCALE ARRAY ROIC with rich digital function, low power consumption, strong portability.In addition,the chip has greatly increasing the application range of ROIC, and has a referential role for the other ROIC with the higher requirements.
