Chinese next generation broadcast wireless(NGB-W) systems are aimed to provide high-speed, ubiquitous, and secure broadcast services and tri-play services to massive users. The use of low density parity check(LDPC) codes in broadcast systems can ensure the validity and reliability of data and signaling transmission. Therefore, researches on new type LDPC codes and corresponding data and signaling transmission schemes have important practical value on NGB-W systems.In this paper, for NGB-W terrestrial broadcast systems, a new set of quasi-cyclic(QC)-Raptor-Like LDPC codes with moderate code length and wide operation range is proposed and applied to data and signaling transmission, a complete signaling transmission scheme using the proposed LDPC codes is designed. The innovation points of this paper can be listed as follow:(1) The check matrix of moderate code length LDPC codes in data transmission channel is constructed. The constructed LDPC codes can approach Shannon limit in low bit rate which solves the problem that the decoding threshold of current low rate LDPC codes is far from Shannon limit.(2) The check matrix of low bit rate short code length LDPC codes in signaling transmission channel is constructed in this paper. The constructed LDPC codes can be used to design physical frame signaling(PFS) transmission scheme in physical layer. The proposed PFS transmission scheme can solve the problems that the threshold of PFS should be lower than that of data transmission and should not be too low to guarantee the transmission efficiency of signaling, and the signaling performance should maintain stability when changing in length.(3) The logical frame signaling(LFS) transmission scheme in physical layer is designed on the basic of the constructed low bit rate short code length LDPC codes and the designed PFS transmission scheme. The proposed LFS transmission scheme can solve the problems that the threshold of LFS should be lower than that of data transmission and should be higher than that of PFS, the signaling performance should maintain stability when changing in length, and different selection on transmission reliability and transmission efficiency should be provided for different quality of service(QoS) requirements of data transmission channel.
