Since the show super girls appeared in 2004,there have been various reality shows, such as Running man, Dad where are we going, Amazing race, The voice of China, Stars in danger, X-space, Challenger alliance and so on, they are popular among the audiences and producers. With the rapid development of these shows, audiences and producers are attracted by the games elements. Throughout the existing reality shows, competition and ranking is the core content of the reality shows. If the reality shows have been an important type of TV shows, there is no doubt that the game has become an important part of the reality shows.This article consists of four parts, which are game rules, game space and game time, game content and game participants, It analyzes the important role of the game in China’s Reality TV Shows, and study the audience psychology and cultural reasons of reality game shows. The first chapter is about the rules of the game. In certain extent, rules determine the nature of the game and create order in the game, it has absolute constraining force. It is not only directly cause competition between participants, but also build the framework of the program and control the speed of the show. The second chapter illustrates the important of the game space and game time in reality TV shows. Game time set the boundaries of the time and space, create suspense, conflict and tense atmosphere in the show, at the same time it also creates purely environment for participants and spectators and provides a temporary escape from the messy reality for the participants and spectators. The third chapter summarizes and analyzes the game content, reveals the deep reasons why the spectators like games in the show. Game content restrict the participants, and also give participants freedom at the same time, and that make the participants and spectators addicted to games, and get pleasure and satisfaction from it. The last chapter discusses the participants of the game. The idealized game conditions attract a large number of participants to join the game, they devoted to the game, get pleasure and satisfaction from it and constantly improve themselves.
