A R&D Project Schedule Control Study For LDS Phone Antenna In HM Company

With the rapid development of mobile communication terminal, the growing popularity of smart phones, LDS phone antenna also ushered in a vigorous development. At the same time, rapid technological innovation, rapid product iterations and incandescent market competition, how to accelerate product development to maintain the company’s competitive advantage and profitability, become the focus of attention for every antenna enterprise. Successful enterprises reply on the scientific management, project management as an advanced scientific management methods which has been confirmed by more and more practice.Taking HM company for the study and combine with the actual situation of new LDS phone antenna product development projects, carried out specific research in terms of schedule control. LDS phone antenna research is a new product R&D project, its total duration is more than one year, with ha total investment of 1 million RMB, the project involves various disciplines, including new product development, RF design, mechanical design, process design, equipment selection, fixture design and mold design, etc. This R&D project is very complicated with tight schedule, that lead its schedule control is difficult, so it’s necessary to use the scientific project management theory and methods to research and management, so as to provide a reference for other new product R&D projects in the future.This project use WBS and network plan diagram for its schedule plan, and use earned value method, milestone method and concurrent engineering for its schedule control. Continuously monitor he actual research process, and solve the encountered problems, ensuring the project’s schedule and cost is in line with objectives planned.This thesis is based on the HM company LDS phone antenna R&D project studies, combining theory with practice, the application of scientific schedule control tools enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of its schedule control, reduce the work difficulty of project managerial staff and accelerate the progress, and have some reference significance for the other similar projects.
