Research On The Construction Of Material Management System For DT Power Generation Group

The material management is the foundation and the core of business administration and operation. It is the most significant link in the modern material supply chain management. The information-based management is performed on an enterprise’s materials, which not only improves the core competitiveness of the enterprise, but also improve the level of the enterprise’s material management. DT Group, one of five power generation groups in the domestic market, purchases considerable materials annually. Therefore, the material management is the emphasis of current operation and management of DT Group. DT Group decides to develop its material management specifically towards the intensive and precise direction. Study on how to establish a series of information systems for material management that are suitable for their own features is presented under the conditions of numerous challenges and opportunities.This paper analyzes the status of material management of DT Group from 11 aspects, including the plan management, procurement management, contract management, quality supervision management, supplier management, expert management, warehouse management, distribution management, management of waste materials, master data management and decision analysis. The overall demand and goal of the construction of material management system are presented, and the main tasks of the construction of information system are described in this paper. In addition, the method of enterprise information architecture design is used, the principle of the architecture design is put forward, and the overall architecture and business, data and technology architecture of material management are established. The system is designed in detail from the perspective of business and technology. The material management is fully constructed and can guide the construction of material management of power generation groups effectively. Meanwhile, the integrated scheme between the material management system and other systems is also designed, which provides an effective support for the optimization of this material management of DT Group. An expectation is brought out to the future construction of business material management system.
