For the first time to archive retrieval process as the research object of the work of 1985 Deng Shaoxing compiled the book 《File retrieval and retrieval subject》, For so many years of development and accumulation make file retrieval of various types of research results, the retrieval of thesis (journals, degree, meeting), monographs, patent technology and the standard is increasing, increased social research level, involves the file retrieval skills, methods, language cataloguing and indexing research has also been gradually mature, we can say without hesitation, file retrieval subject is and will continue to grow and expand, the field will continue to gain academic especially archivist circle more attention of researchers.The aims are to reveal the status of the research in this field, the characteristics and its troubles, and to come up with some useful measures, to provide reference for the further study of the file to retrieve science in China.
