In the field of non-contact measurement at present, it hasn’t been proposed a measurement technology applied in short and medium distances, which has relatively higher precision, cheaper price and design construction. Therefore, this paper, based on linear array CCD, aims to design a kind of measurement system of laser displacement with high precision, low price and simple structure.Firstly, through analyzing the principle of Laser Triangulation, this paper studies the different ways of incident light and its advantages and disadvantages, thus determines to use straight triangulation. The overall design of this system is in the final completed.Secondly, it is the design of hardware and software. The 32 bit MCU STM32 of ARM series is selected as the core of the system, based on which the hardware design that includes the design of power supply, single-chip minimum system, communication between linear CCD and mainboard, external Flash, Serial communication and driver and display for LCD1602, is completed. According to the functional requirement of measurement system, the software that includes data processing program, communications between STM32F103RBT6 and CCD, Flash storage program, serial communication and driving and display program, are described.Next, this paper studies the location way of CCD spot segmentation, such as traditional center of gravity method, square weighted centroid gravity method and Gaussian curve fitting method, to deal with data and calibrate the system.At last, the prototype is developed and combined to be commissioned. The results of the experiments prove the reliability of hardware and the feasibility of software. Meanwhile, the square weighted centroid gravity method, which has the minimum error in data processing and its error is only 0.088mm in the range of 80mm~200mm, is tested to have excellent segmentation and positioning function of spot segmentation of spot. After being tested, the prototype can be directly applied into measuring the displacement without computer. In addition, the whole system meets the demand of measurement, while also has the characteristics of higher integration, lower power consumption and cost.
