Our China is a large grain yield nation. The regional differences cause serious imbalance between local grain output and types of crops in various regions. However, grain logistic is an important way to solve the imbalance between grain production and demand. Safeguarding grain safety is the priority of the process, and managing information of grain logistic can further improve grain logistic system and accelerate the construction of food security project.In this thesis brings out an information management system based on mobile devices to deal with the information transmission problem of grain logistic and designs information management system of grain logistic based on Android platform combined with the characteristic of mobility and easy access to connect network of Android Mobile. The system consists of two subsystems, namely Android mobile client and PC information service platform of grain logistic. Android mobile client exchanges information with information service platform through network, and the platform exchanges information directly with database through JDBC programming techniques. Combining PC-side information management system with Android mobile device establishes the information management system of grain logistic based on Android platform. The system can achieve fleetly collection of grain logistic information and provide management and reliable transmission and information management for the information. The system design and implementation flow are as follows:Firstly, this thesis analysed the components of the system and functions of various parts, explained the key technologies the system concerns in details, designed the framework of the whole system and introduced the GPS and network communication technology of Android mobile devices.Secondly, according to actual needs, data tables used in the whole system and the relationships between tables were designed. The tables required by the system were established by Sql Server 2008 relation database.Thirdly, the software development of grain logistic information service platform and Android Mobile client were completed, and the expected functional module was achieved. All the software of the system was developed by Java language under the Eclipse. The overall framework of the system was the C/S architecture. Android platform client represented the client. The server side included grain logistic information service platform and database component.Finally, the test of the functional modules of the system was completed on the Android phone. The test results indicated that the grain circulation information can be gathered quickly and transferred securely and managed effectively. The system can solve the slack information in the process of grain logistic, and realize the information management of grain logistic, and ensure the safety of grain logistic.
