In recent years, food safety has been a hot issue of national concern, which has a close relationship with the implementation of the sustainable development strategy and the harmony of the society. According to statistics, the annual grain losses accounted for about 6% of the total grain output due to the improper food storage and other reasons. In order to reduce the unnecessary losses, improving the environment of granary storage should be a top priority. With the development of technology, designing a convenient and stable grain monitoring system has become the first choice.Generally using a computer whose position is fixed to monitor the granary of environmental information, traditional grain monitoring system greatly limits the flexibility and mobility of users and cannot meet the needs of obtaining grain information from the distant place. However, with the continuous development of information technology, B/S technology can greatly make up for the inadequacy of the monitoring system software of traditional grain condition. Therefore, this thesis designs a B/S monitoring system of the grain condition based on the Web platform. The system achieved the remote monitoring of the information on food situation and conducted the remote temperature measurement and centralized management for food by using the B/S architecture technology which separates the cloud platform from the Internet platform and keeps their communication through the Internet platform. With the advantage of the strong stability, multiple functions and convenient use, the system can achieve the goal of remote monitoring and the control of grain information at any time.Reflected in the communications framework, the monitoring system of the grain situation implements the data exchange between the Web server and the cloud platform server by using the Dynamic Link Library (DLL) technology. The six interfaces of the Dynamic Link Library ensure the large data transmission of the monitoring system of the grain condition.On encapsulation and analysis of the data, the Protocol Buffer message structure format transmits data by using the technology of the serialization and de-serialization. Due to the characteristics of the smaller structure, the faster transmission, the easier implementation, the Protocol Buffer message structure ensures the security of the data transmission and the improvement of the transmission efficiency of the monitoring system of the grain condition. In the browser, the usage of the markup languages can design dynamic web which can be compatible with all the other browsers, like HTML, JavaScript, CSS. And it ensures the stability of the website pages. In the database, the design of user information module,3G information module barn management information module, measurement and data control module are implemented by SQL Server 2005, which ensures the integrity of data storage for the monitoring system of the grain condition. This monitoring system of the grain condition ensures its integrity with multiple functions, such as user login and registration, real-time monitoring and control functions, data show and analysis, the print function, searching for historical data functions and so on. The website port of the grain monitoring system designed in this thesis has been widely used in many domestic granaries and its overall functions have got the users’ recognition.
