With the popularity of smart phones, as well as the development of the mobile Internet, maps and positioning software entered a new era-indoor positioning. In recent years, a number of domestic and foreign technology giants, including Google, Microsoft, Apple, Baidu, Broadcom, and also some famous universities are studying the indoor positioning technology.This paper designs and implements a WiFi-PDR indoor positioning system based on the Android platform.In this process, the location fingerprint positioning technology based on principal component Analysis, Pedestrian Dead Reckoning and WiFi positioning fusion algorithm are in-depth studied.First of all, using principal component analysis extracts the principal component from the original fingerprint information, removing redundant information, reducing the dimensions, to improve the accuracy of the matching, to reduce the amount of matching operation, and to improve the positioning performance.Secondly, by means of the principle of dead reckoning used in the GPS positioning, this paper proposes use pedestrian dead reckoning assists WiFi signal for indoor positioning. Fuse the WiFi positioning result and the PDR result with Kalman filter get the final positioning results, not only greatly improve the accuracy of the positioning system, but also the stability of the system has been greatly improved.Finally, design and development the indoor positioning system based on the Android platform, test the contents of this article studies. Tested by experiment results show that this study can work well in the indoor positioning system based on WiFi signal, the effectiveness and stability of the positioning system has been greatly improved.
