This year,2016, is called the first year of Visual Reality. Virtual reality technology, a combination of computer graphics, computer simulation, sensor and other advanced technology, has been maturely applied in many industries. With the improvement of power system in China, both the reliability of power supply and the safety management must be further improved. In order to increase efficiency of maintenance and construction, improve the ability to deal with malfunction and strengthen safety management, there demands a higher level of planning repair scheme, reasonably arranging staffs and completely implementing security controls apart from increasing staffs and equipment. Virtual reality technology, restoring the real working environment, makes users seemingly be personally on the real scene, which improves the efficiency and safety of learning maintenance of staffs in transformer substation.This thesis is based on the project the author has designed and developed alone, namely Power Station 3D Support System which mainly provides the staffs in transformer substation with assistance and support for improving the ability of maintenance. Of this project, the author was mostly responsible for the design and development of 3D system. In this paper, firstly, the author analyzes the relevant technology of virtual reality, then brings the theory of software engineering into effect for design and development of Power Station 3D Support System by demand analysis, general design and detailed design three steps. The relevant functions of the system, about the safety arrangement deployed in maintenance, mainly include tools library, touring path, the safety measures deployment, recording playback and so on. Meanwhile, the system also provides the common auxiliary functions in 3D scene such as small map and position jump, etc. The author applies the mature 3D engine technology in the industry-Unity 3d tol develop the system. In addition, the author has explored the architecture of Unity 3d in large system and studied and put the MVVM pattern into effect, which solve the problem of high coupling of traditional modular development in favor of collaborative development and maintenance.The above mentioned system has been launched, and it has improved the efficiency of maintenance training of staffs in transformer station. This satisfactory achievement has won the users’high praise due to its contribution to the enterprise.
