Design And Application Research Of Virtual Experimental System Based On Unity3D

Experimental teaching always plays a very important role in education and teaching. However, the large population of learners at school or not in our country causes the shortage of experimental equipment, and this is the weakest link in teaching and learning. The development of virtual reality provides experimental teaching with new thoughts. The use of virtual reality can develop virtual experimental environment with very high simulation, which is very popular by virtue of its good interaction, handleability and cheapness and has already been applied in various experimental teaching.The investigation shows that the virtual experimental teaching software at home or abroad gets long-lasting development and plays a major part in different education stages. But there are some essential defects in virtual experimental environment, for instance, an unreal feeling to learners brought by the not real experimental environment, the hard realization of collaborative learning by the virtual experimental system, which is not good for the development of learners’collaborative ability and team spirit, and more importantly the existence of some cases that can’t be predicted and simulated in the real world. Based on those problems, this paper designs a virtual experimental system by Augmented Reality.The major task of this paper includes:1. Analyze the characteristics of real experiment and virtual experiment, search for a method combined with advantages of the two.2. Implement the key section of Augmented Reality--the combination between the real and the virtual by applying Unity3D.3. Pursue some innovation among so many methods of Augmented Reality from practical system applications:presetting-Marker identify.4. Study the difficulties in Augmented Reality system:the realization of real-time interactive in real and virtual world by using of regional response technology.5. Fulfill the design of overall systematic framework and realize it by coding.6. Analyze and research the case of mental burning experiment.The characteristics of the virtual experimental system lie in the realization of blending real experiment and virtual experiment, the improvement of user experience, the good interactive function of the software, simplicity in operation, and the providing collaborative experimental mode.
