Research On The Development Of MOOC Services In University Libraries In China

In recent years, MOOC has made a great development in the China and aboard. There are more and more discussions about MOOC. For the library community, how can we grasp the challenges and opportunities brought by the MOOC has become an important content. Many scholars in the domestic library and information science have studied this problem, and many university libraries have incorporated MOOC service into the library’s service area.At present, the research of MOOC service in our country focuses on the theory of MOOC and the feasibility and necessity of study about the library service for MOOC. But lack the domestic and foreign experience summary. So this paper based on the comparison between the China and aboard, analyzing the advantage of foreign university libraries service for MOOC and the shortage of us. And admires provide a reference for the development of libraries service in China university.This paper includes five parts.The first part is the introduction, which mainly introduces the background, research status. And the research methods and innovation in the paper.The second part: discuss the MOOC, including the concept explanation, and the advantage of university library to carry out the MOOC service.The third part: research on the current situation of University Libraries at home and abroad to participate in the MOOC service, analysis the advantages in MOOC of university libraries at home and abroad, summed up the advantages, and pointed out the deficiencies.The fourth part: due to the shortage of China’s university library to carry out the MOOC service, point out the thinking of promotion strategy and path of carry out MOOC service activities of university libraries in China.The fifth part is the conclusion.
