In order to much better satisfy the needs of the public, in recent years the government is committed to exploring the social forces involved in the provision of public library service, then form a new library public service supply mode.At present, some regions have adopted the new way of government purchases the public libraries services to provide library services for the public. Although there are a considerable number of success cases, the government purchases the public libraries services is still in the exploratory stage and the correlation theoretical research is not much. The way of government purchases is an effective way to deepen the public library service. In order to better understand the government’s role in the library service supply, government purchase the library service is discussed from the following aspects.
